Saturday, April 12, 10–Noon
Meet at the corner of Bellows & Green -
Planting 350 tree seedlings (some in the ground, some in the nursery)
Starting a tree nursery in the vacant lot at Bellows and Green for future highway adjacent plantings
Seeding the highway slope with prairie seeds/native wildflowers
Cleaning up trash

Everyone is welcome — neighbors, students, community members, and anyone who wants to help rebuild our neighborhood’s green buffer.
Kids and teens are more than welcome to participate in planting or cleanup with supervision. Please note: the event will take place on both sides of a street and in areas with broken glass and trash, so this is not a safe space for younger children to play. We won’t have childcare or a designated kids’ area.

Feel free to bring your own gloves and protective eyewear. We’ll have lots of these but they’re nothing fancy. If you have your own, you’re welcome to bring them.
Keep Columbus Beautiful and OSU have provided all the tools needed for this project
Green Columbus is providing the seedlings and prairie seed
